True Love Poem by Teena Reed

True Love

Rating: 3.0

There could never be a deeper love
That flows between me and thee
Two hearts that beat as one
Bound for clandestiny

Our love it knows no bounds
Our love knows no fear
It spreads beyond the universe
Out into the atmosphere

True love is for believers
It won’t fade with time
Our love will get better with age
It’s like a vintage wine

Like true love throughout the centuries
Romeo and Juliet, we have a history
Not conquered by death, not even conquered by time
Our love remains a mystery, like the scene of a crime

Though the world around us
Tries to destroy our bond
It continues to ripple
Like the water in a pond

Let them try with all their might
Let them continue to try and fight
They will never be able to reach the height
Of a love that goes beyond their sight
