True Love Searching

True love’s searching for receivers
Responders to the call
Pursuing until believers
Faithful giving their all

Grace, worldwide seeks out life’s broken
The rich, poor, sick and well
Who’ll heed Heaven’s call when awoken
To flee both death and hell

Salvation’s seeking the dying
Perishing souls down and out
Man destitute, failures crying
Not knowing what life’s about

Life’s calling all to repentance
To leave the ways of shame
To free of death’s pending sentence
Burning in endless flame

Wisdom’s wide courting the foolish
Irrational, silly, absurd
The headstrong, lout and the mulish
To join life’s flock and herd

Jesus Christ’s knocking every door
Of fraudster, thief, liar
False preacher, each common street whore
Willing to venture higher

Calling the humble, man plagued with pride
Prisoners lost and bound
Remorseful souls who’ll come inside
To dwell on holy ground

Love’s calling me, God’s calling you
God’s grace is given free
Freeing from sentences each is due
Through Jesus’ blood soaked tree…..
