True State Of Love Poem by Vadakkumpurath Ramesan

True State Of Love

In love between humans
There is a betrayal
Either by the lady
Or by the man!

In love between humans
They elope and live
But seek extra marital ties
And keep a paramour in hiding!

In love between humans
It will be extraneous
It will be superficial
And a vanity to the core!

In love between beasts
They elope and mate
Without any promise or bond
And sincere mutually
To the mission they venture!

In love between birds
They never cheat nor betray
But live for the mate
And think for the mate
And keep the monogamy!

In love between humans
Rare are Laila-Majnu pairs
Seldom are Ruth-Bovas
But frequent are Salim
Betraying Anarkalis
Who blind folded by deep love
Sacrifice the life for the mate

The sublime but stead-fast love
Is like the monogamy of the dove
Is like the fidelity of the dog
Is like sharpness of snake
Is like the mate-spirit of the ants
Is like the relentless toil of spiders
And like the will of Prometheus!
The world look desperately
For a love that is unshaky
And for a love that die with death!
