Truly, There Are Never Two Of Anything Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

Truly, There Are Never Two Of Anything

A caterpillar's journey
It is unlike any others.
But principally, it's
Like two birds entwined, engaged in lovemaking
Truly, there are never two of anything
It is always the one, becoming the one.
Even in coupling, all sources are cocooning mirrors.
Rainbows appear when sunlight is refracted.
Through any prism, life is no different in spirit.
The soul's life - isn't it a raindrop's evaporation?
The rainbow we see when
Our chrysalis is also eternally open.
