Trumpets Poem by Andy Pandy

Trumpets

I made a list of every reason
Why there's no need to be afraid.
But what if all I had should disappear?
Would I still feel the same?
I don't know.

Trumpets are sounding in the distance.
A melody ascending to the sky.
It rises like a thousand songs
I'll never have a chance to sing.

What if all the ground should crumble?
What if all the lakes went dry?
Would I feel as humbled
Standing on a mountainside?

A choir is singing in the distance.
Voices ascending to the sky.
They rise and fall like all the songs
I'll never have a chance to sing.

Wait for me.
I'm already on my way.
