Trust: Regrets And Realization Poem by Lilith Van'Nightinveil

Trust: Regrets And Realization

In the depths of my heart, a pain does reside,
A searing ache that I cannot hide,
For you, my love, have betrayed my trust,
And left me here, to crumble to dust.

I thought our love was pure and true,
But now I see, I was a fool for you,
For behind that mask you wore so well,
Lurked a monster, a two-faced hell.

You played me for a fool, a pawn in your game,
And now I'm left with nothing but shame,
For I gave you my heart, my soul and my all,
And you tore it apart, leaving me to fall.

But I will rise again, stronger than before,
For I know now, what you are at the core,
A liar, a cheater, a heartless thief,
And I will find a love that brings me relief.

So go on, with your lies and deceit,
For you will find, your heart will meet defeat,
And I will stand tall, with a heart that's true,
For I know now, I deserve much more than you.
