Trust You
"Life is great. I can see all the day.
I have been at peace with my life of ease.
I awake each day knowing God saves;
I rest in my home I am not alone.
What have I to fear when my God is near? "
This is the faith we contain,
But do we have it in the midst of pain?
Do we believe when they say,
"Don't you see the facts don't lie.
You can't continue to push aside
The reality that soon you will die."
Our hearts may fall, sink in despair
But do we still trust, "Yes God cares! "
Maybe He will be gracious and say,
"Peace my child, you will stay."
Oh, now finally I can live a good life,
For I am free from all my strife.
Now Lord God my life is good
For You are doing as You should.
But don't forget, our God is not chained
By our mentality that we must stay!
And just when we think the waves are calm
God shows where our hearts were all along.
At 3 in the morning, a knock on the door
A voice whispers, "I am back for more."
A cold sweat and a shiver run through my flesh
"Oh Lord my God, are You not enough? "
I plea, "Lord, please carry through! "
He replies, "I will. I will carry you."
So now I will fall and fight on my knees
Knowing that You know all my needs.
As the voice from 3 still attacks me,
God is good this I can see.
Today is a gift that we have received,
And tomorrow will be our mystery.
I will praise my God in this day,
For He is good He guides my ways.
So much more than physical pain,
What breaks my heart is my sin.
I tread upon the paths I've made
Drowning in my sinful ways.
Show me Lord where I lose sight.
Show me Lord Just how I might,
Gaze on you and fix my eyes
On the things above, Not my lies.
I know that when I fall apart,
God will step in and hold my heart.
He will say, "My child, Rest in peace,
For you know I'll never leave.
I can use sinners like you
To step up and bring the news
To those who do not see the light
Those who are on their knees in life."
So, use me Lord as you will
To stand in Faith and fulfill Your will.
