Truth Over Lies Poem by melinda mackey

if being real is being mean,
then is it wat it is.
and by being real i mean telling the truth.
then i guess the truth hurts.
but why would the truth hurt you more then a person who lies?
is it because they tell you what you want to hear?
see that i dont understand, because then the lie has to be covered by a dozen more.
and then the first question is asked once more.
now your mad because it was a lie.
and now you want to cry.
when you knew the truth all along.
you can stop the same ole sad song.......
..........but you won't.
which is the truth
and you know it.
