There are many of us have talked to God
About what's going on in our world
Too much about sadness and death
As into a nightmare we've been hurled.

The problems are too many to mention
For everyone has their own list
Some are not so devastating
Loved ones to be hugged and kissed.

But others are life and death related
Like those working amongst the sick
Doctors, nurses, anyone out there
So tired, to stay healthy is a trick.

We pray, we get angry, we want it to stop
Get back to the life we just had
A short time ago, for heaven's sake
Never dreaming anything could be so bad.

But, we will do what we must, won't we?
For nothing lasts forever they say
We will think about the positive things
And we will try to smile for another day.
