Tucked Behind The Locked Door Poem by Libby Bechtel

Tucked Behind The Locked Door

Wish I could give you a ticket to my thoughts,
Then you'd see why I wish that you were mine
You'd understand why I only want you
To make sure that you won't run away, I hid your shoes
I've cleaned out my heart & made it cozy in there,
Please, come & live in there
It needs a reason to beat;
It's losing hope
And my mind,
It's overflowing with you
It's seeping into my veins;
Makes me feel electric
The last piece of this puzzle is you
Once you're in my heart,
My brain will stop being brain-dead
And will be intoxicated by your love
Your energy makes me lose control
It seems that I've lost the key to my heart,
But you found it,
Now all I want you to do is unlock my heart
And you'll never want to give that key back
