Tumbleweeds, Windmills And Red Dirt Poem by Marilyn Lott

Tumbleweeds, Windmills And Red Dirt

Tumbleweeds against the fence
Along a red dirt road I see
A dusty smell fills the air
In the middle of the vast country.

Windmills whirling in the breeze
Create a special kind of life
Country air that I love so much
Replaces all my trouble and strife.

Sunsets so dreamy and beautiful
Just tops the day off right
I take a walk in the evening
Enjoy the colors in the darkened night.

Everything that I ever dream of
Are all rolled up into one
They bring the end of a perfect day
Start again with the morning sun.

I can't think of a better life
No, there just isn't one
Tumbleweeds Windmills and Red dirt
Create a lifetime of unforgettable fun!
