Turn Around Twice! - Poem by Garland E. Day

TURN AROUND TWICE AND YOUR CHILDHOOD IS OVER!
FOR A VERY SHORT PERIOD YOU'RE A MAN
TURN AROUND TWICE AND YOUR CHILDREN HAVE LEFT YOU,
AND YOU ARE JUST ABLE TO TURN AROUND AGAIN! SOMEHOW WE PULL THROUGH TO ANOTHER NEW YEAR,
WITH AGE WE SLOW DOWN OUR PACE!
TURN AROUND TWICE IN THE GAME OF LIFE,
AND IN TURNING YOU JUST LOST THE RACE! YOUR LIFE SPAN HAS RUN OUT THE WATERS ARE COLD,
THERE IS ONLY DARKNESS AHEAD,
YOUR FUTURE IS UNKNOWN IN LIFE AFTER DEATH
SO TURN AROUND TWICE AND YOU'RE DEAD! THEY'LL PUT YOU TO REST ON TOP OF A HILL!
MOURNERS WILL PASS BY YOUR GRAVE,
SO TURN AROUND TWICE BEFORE ITS TOO LATE,
AND SEE IF THERE'S SOME SOULS YOU CAN SAVE!?
