Twenty Fifth In The Twelfth Month Poem by Beston Muzenda

Twenty Fifth In The Twelfth Month

Today is christmas day
How blessed is such a day
Full of joy in its way
Everything's shining like a ray
Come on don't wonder why

All houses a swept
So clean to attract a guest
Anything which has been kept
Must now come out as a gift
For the curiosity is great.

Houses are decorated in colourful paints
Children dressing like saints
Ready to go to the growth points
To spend the remaining coins
While they laugh and dance

Girls are in coats given,
Warm and soft like the fur of a kitten
While in the kitchen
Filled with the aroma of roasted chicken
Every moment is golden.

Celebrate the birth of christ
With joy and respect
With buddies chat
Wow its a great feast
On such a day noone can forget! !
