Twenty-Six Things Poem by Nitya Swaruba

Twenty-Six Things

Zenith is where life's at
Yearning claims its place
X-rays through the heart
Wisdom shows its face
Values held are high
Ultimates bring an end
Tempers rise inside
Smiles come to mend
Respect's a two-way road
Quintessential piece
Progress is in the mind
Origins hardly cease
Nature is all time
Moments are its rain
Love took this line
Knowledge always gains
Joy and sorrow blend
Illusions hide the gore
Hope is life's rent
Goodness rules the fore.

Fantasies may fade
Expressions go their way
Desires remain unsaid
Change is bewitched
Beliefs need to switch
All then will be well.
