What Just Happened Poem by Nitya Swaruba

What Just Happened

You came into me, shook me off a trance
Took me by surprise for sure
Every day became a delightful dance
You touched my soul, became my cure

You chained my heart and set me free
From the desperation in which I was wasted
Your enchantment completely ruled me
But freedom was what I tasted

You are an exhilarating mystery
I don't care to venture a guess
You managed to erase that bitter history
You turned my life into a word fest

At one time I was sure what you were
But then you got a bit elusive
I sensed my days go slightly blur
Your sudden retreat was so inconclusive

It's like you came for just a while
To process but just one file
I'm glad it was me that was chosen
You thawed the moment in which I was frozen

I am curious though about your essence
For you've made people sense a change in me
Quite invisible you are to their existence
But I will see you, whenever you see me.
