Twilight Poem by Michael Burgess

Twilight

Many times I have pondered

Can shadows bring delight

A peaceful bliss

Or something small

A little light is all I want

With light comes shadows

Or does the shadows bring the light

To bring common ground

One does not exist without the other

I am in constant search

Stuck in shadows

The light is anywhere but near

I will never find

For I am the light

But not one I can hallow

The light is just a curse

Forever casting shadows
