Twilight Poem by ROCHISH MON

Twilight

This is my English rendering to a Telugu poem written by Poet Umar Ali Shah.

1
String was cut off,
alas!
String was cut off.
Lyre
string was cut off.
So that,
melody ends
and dozes.
In emotion,
it continues.

2
Twilight has fallen
everywhere.
A kind of beauty has come up.
There,
the moon has its presence.
In the night,
to censure the moon
there is a flower.
That smile
originates an elegance.

3
Boat moves on,
that shore
passes by.
The river
was gushing.
On the boat
someone who steers
is singing.
In the song,
forgets self.

4
As she brought that wine,
that woman,
with her singing and smiling,
imparted a love lesson.
As she leaves,
she looked back.
On the heart,
she threw a stone.

5
That period has dissolved,
this period has rose
within a moment.
As the lady of dawn
voices out,
the love - calamity
that was sung by the lady,
poured the blood
in the heart.

6
Scar took place.
Festivity of my heart
has gone.
My birth
has come and gone
this way.
In love
was that dead?
At least then,
has freedom come?
