They were born together
In a little nest
Over a river
Under a crest
They lived together
And grew up fast
But today is the day
They've waited for at last
When they both take flight
And soar to be free
When they both must depart
And find their own hollow tree
Then upon looking back
At where they came from
It was a peaceful beginning
With a perfect outcome
Now they disappear
Farther from the crest
Flying like twin feathers
Leaving behind a lonely nest.
