A tornado is always news
especially when it whirls through
a poultry farm
and hurls a hundred thousand hens
at heaven
Film at eleven
But the real story is Bunny's
shock and apostasy
on seeing Harry, her lifelong love,
succumb
'Look, Bunny, look! '
he wheezed
pale and passing
as heaven rained
the plucked and mangled chickens
on their porch
Only a twisted Lord
could have found it funny
poor Harry...poor Bunny
And hats off for the hens

A delicious blend of insight and humour. Well articulated story elegantly penned with conviction. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing Steve.
