Twitching Eye Blues Poem by William B. Deutscher

Twitching Eye Blues

Woke up one sad morning with the twitching eye blues,
woke up one sad morning with the twitching eye blues,
Valentine kiss in the park pursing lips just for you.
Sunlight on the window glass the twitching eye of day,
sunlight on the window glass the twitching eye of day,
but there's no fussing now at all with you gone far away.
O it's hard to take sometimes my love this misery once again,
o it's hard to take sometimes my love this misery once again,
with tilt of wayward color and the twitching blue in vain.
Yes it's hard to take sometimes my love these twitching eye blues,
yes it's hard to take sometimes my love these twitching eye blues,
twitching through the day and all the night of you.
