Two Became One... Poem by Michele C. Messina Long

Two Became One...

The flame began to dance in time with the music.
My eyes guided me into a hypnotic state,
I sat there gazing, fixed on the dancing of the flame.
With each verse of the mantra,
The flame miraculously duplicated.
One became two...
Two became four...
Four became eight,
Until there were no longer individual, distinct noticeable flames.
Now they united, fused to become
One larger glow of Light.
I sat a little longer.
Witnessing the evolution of Oneness.
