Two love birds in a cage together
From three years so loving and caring
Flocking and kissing each others feather
So much love, I have seen them sharing
I decided to put their love to test
My love life had never been great
I felt, what the hell, it's for their best
They can test their love, before it's late
One morning I let the male bird fly
The cage now had the lady alone
The male had zoomed towards the sky
The lady moved to a corner to mourn
She didn't eat nor smile at me
She just kept staring at the sky
My heart ached, I felt sorry
I had not allowed her to fly
Days passed by the male didn't come
She continued to starve and stare above
Soon her body turned cold and numb
This was the price she paid for her love
The popular test for true love, it's said
Let them free, then, just wait and see
If they had loved through their heart and not the head
They will soon get back to you, to always be
Again, I got two love birds soon
And decided now to let the female free
The male ate and slept throughout the noon
The lady perched on a close by tree
She looked at her mate and then the sky
She flew down and sat on the cage
I had been in love, hence, gathered why
He was the devil and she was the sage
Seeing Ms bird, I now realised
Why I had lost the tune to my love song
My ego made me loose what I most prized
And I was the reason why things went wrong
When we parted, I eagerly awaited her call
How I wish, I had called to say Hello
Overtime between us rose the great China wall
And the one who lost out is me, this stupid fellow
