Two Loves, A Choice Poem by Maggie K.

Two Loves, A Choice

my Love, do not leave me
(did you not hear me call your name?)
my Love, do not weep for me
(did you not feel my pain?)
my Love, do not betray me
(did my love not feel the same?)
my Love, I stand before you
(but now I lay below you)
my Love, feel the warmth of my hand
(did you feel the chill of my fingertips?)
my Love, i know you see the grave
(Darling, your heart is here with me)
did your heart die with them?
(Darling, stay here safe with me)
did you choose their love over mine?
(Darling, I hold you once again)
did you not leave?
(a grave next to mine)
