Two Nights Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Two Nights

Two nights

My two nights has so far
-been a hell; conscious-war
-want to rise as have done
-Ayyars and Zapata, Guevara
-Yakub-Leith-e-Saffar
-to Hassan, Al Sabbah

I must rise as have done
-the authors and artists
-mutineers and poets
-among them the rebel
-a disowned Percy who
-took Mary; they escaped
-as fast as Frankenstein…

I will be proud if
-am compared with Great Malcolm X

For long I, have been and lived here
-people's move is current's in river
-wavy and sleazy, attractive
-with ravines and trees
-and the birds flying
-deer's eyes and the looks
-needs patience and waiting

But always hope was there
-till I saw the Harlem
-with Langston and Hurston
-the poets among the gangsters
-I saw them in cars and in houses
-when drove to Chester; as people

Cannot talk
Cannot write
Cannot take the air in
Therefore, I can't exhale…

I hate the residents
-as well as vampires
-cruel is always made by silence

Must wake up
Must take gun
Must rebel
Must be Bob Kennedy
"Murderer the abusers!)

My two nights has so far
-been a hell, conscious war

Call me an anarchist
-call me a terrorist
-fabricate any name

Bullshit is what you say
-I touched the leprosy
-went with food and gave them

Closed tight some windows
Curtains down, jailed shadows
When week died; Friday
-mother was pregnant

Whatever they had saved
-for pizza, it was paid
-too small, for a child; but for all

I recalled reading of Abuzar
-a close ally of prophet Mohammad

He passed a crossroad; people sat
-hungry, and leaning against walls
-turned to them with shout of jaguar:
- "Take your swords out of sheaths! "

Message was clear; is true for today:
- "Hungry and in need must rebel! "

Learn from the babies
-will cry till get milk

My two nights has so far
-been a hell, conscious war
