Two Roads, Two Choices: Which One? Poem by Carol Fleming Klein

Two Roads, Two Choices: Which One?

Two roads diverge again
Two choices are before all men

One way is right,
-the other wrong
You know the right
But the call is strong
To go the other one
It just looks so much fun

You know the right one now
But it is hard
-and how
To go the better way

The choice you make today
Might decide eternity
So stop and think right now
Where you want to be?

1976-77

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Apologies to R. Frost’s “Two Roads Diverged”. This is trite verse compared to his strong metaphoric language. But it matters very much which road we take.
