we both look out across the sea
our time together was the best
I think of you, you think of me
but I look east and you look west
what to make of these emotions
neither one of us has a clue
we’re living by two separate oceans
as we both ponder what to do
which one of us will lose the most?
what will be the price that’s paid?
if we move to the other coast
and give up on the life we’ve made
so many things come into play
so many things to contemplate
so many options we must weigh
so many choices to debate
both of us have reservations
about the things we’ll leave behind
but to give up on our relations
the thought has never crossed my mind
so I will make the sacrifice
and move three thousand miles to you
another day without you in my life
is something I just can’t go through
