Two Sides Of The Same Coin Poem by Mycho Jamil

Two Sides Of The Same Coin

The calm seas and the raging thunders,
The hot and the cold, the light and the dark;
I am a walking dichotomy, a contradiction to itself.
For I am like the resplendent moon, so far yet so near
Changing phases through time's boundaries

I can put up the brightest smile, yet I can also put up
The saddest frown you would regret to see.
Do not be misled by the abrupt alteration of my temperament.
For I am an eclipse, the opposite of equilibrium;
The heads and tails of a coin you flip.

Get a hold of what's beneath this facade,
For you will see iridescent emotions,
Ineffable in your perception.
It's your option to contemplate
On which side you will choose or believe.
