What We Lose Poem by Mycho Jamil

What We Lose

I stand alone in this room
No life exists within except mine
The atmosphere here is all gloom
There's no way I'd be fine

I can't simply empty my mind
From the memories we've had
And I can no longer find
My happiness; I'm nothing but sad

My world had met its end
For you are no longer here
And I'll be the one to rend
This empty world of tear

If only I was there to save you
You'd still be here, smiling
Yet your time has come on due
I'm left alone, frowning

Farewells are inevitable
Nothing can stay the same
And it's really insufferable;
I can never forget your name
