Two Souls One Heart Poem by Matthew Hunt

We are here for the last time as we stare at the ground which will divide our lives
The full moon fades as the beginning of our new day blinds our eyes.

Always hiding our silent tears as we get closer to a brighter day
And every step will tear us even farer away.

Once again I pray my shadow will help hide my lies,
Tears fill our eyes as were forced to say our final goodbyes.

Your skin is now so cold and pale, yet much more like the angel from that age old tale.

The heavens open as drops run down my face, watching you lower seeing you lay there in all your grace.

Years of pain still haunt us all forevermore, an inescapable pain that shall haunt us until we are given the call.

The oceans shall collide seperating us all, binding us apart until its our time to fall.

The darkness inside us all digs deeper with each day but somewhere out there is love to complete every soul.

We all have a reason to live, to laugh and to love,
Our souls all hold a place in the universe.

Our dreams shall never die, shining ever brighter over the hills every night.

I promise you, your memories and thoughts shall never fade for they shall live with me forever as I carry on for both our souls.
