Two Thousand & 4 Poem by Haylei Marshall Marshall

Two Thousand & 4

She feels a grip throughout her heart,
She tries her best but falls apart.
They say this feeling won't last too long,
The stars are saying that they are wrong.

She wakens at the stroke of 4,
Only to hear a knock at the door.
She hears commotion down the stairs,
And hears them call 'You stay up there! '

She begins to sense impending doom,
And just like that, she's unable to move.
As her world becomes apparent,
She demand someone become declarent.

With just one look to her Brother's face,
She's now aware this cant be fake.
On that day in Two Thousand & 4,
Her life had changed, forevermore.

Although I still hear Mum scream at night, I'm proud to say I conquered that fight! The love you gave was more than enough, some will say I'm the diamond to your rough.

The time has come to say goodbye,
God only knows the tears I've cried.
I will never forget our time together,
Not Today, Tommorow or even ever
