Unappreciated Beauty Poem by Sarah Riley

Unappreciated Beauty

She wakes up in the morning.
Spends all her time,
In front of her mirror,
With hopes to see that boy.
Off to school.
She sees him down the hall.
Enough time
For a quick hair fix.
He gets closer,
She smiles so beautifully.
He passes her,
Without a glance,
A smile,
A wave.
Completely oblivious
To the girl's beauty.
Her heart breaks,
While the boy she loves
Kisses his boyfriend.
He'll never know,
And she'll never tell.
Unappreciated beauty.
