At birth,
We greet earth with cries,
We are surprise that those ahead
Rejoice when they heard our cries
We are cuddled, provided for and embraced
Those smiles at our births
Are facades to the vagaries and challenges ahead
If only we have told the first day what are ahead
We would have get prepared
As we journey on,
Reality begin to dawn on us
Our once pure minds
Are flooded with emotions and feelings of uncertainties
Gradually, we transit from one season to the other
We oscillates between phases of life
From school to careers, dependency to responsibility
From excess weight on our shoulders
Taking care of siblings or kids
On and on, we keep transit between seasons
Until we are weak and become dependents
Like the baby we were at onset
Soonest all our activities become history.
