Uncertainty Poem by sam gale

Uncertainty

Rating: 5.0

I am stuck at a crossroads in my mind but there is no clear direction
The wind is howling and the rain strikes me but I am bare faced and alone.
I don't know where I want to go.
I don't know where I need to go.
I don't know where I should go.
The signs are smeared and the whispers are laughing at me.
I'm silent and waiting but I am frozen with fear and uncertainty.
I'm frozen with a chill that echoes down every single finger and toe.
I'm shivering.
Shivering whilst the moon smirks down at me with a patronising glee.
Shivering whilst the bushes screech their ear piercing cry and mumble my name.
Shooting stars pass me like memories into the abyss.
I inhale the poisoned air.
I close my eyes.
I pray to a power beyond my own in hopes of a clarity I cannot taste.
I close my eyes and I wait.

I don't know where I want to go. where I need to go. where I should go...... a power beyond will give me clarity............ a fine meditation which leads you to God. God alone can help us in such moments. hold on to God my dear friend. tony
