With any but you I can not be true;
it’s you; it’s you and only you.
See this Love and doubt it not;
it played a tune and wandered not;
it’s alight with fire for you;
only you can believe this is true.

See the flame and be my moth;
the light for you and anyone else not.
This is my pledge and I am true;
this poem is for no one but you.

See me as I was that day;
When I set the light aflame that way;
It was that burn that brought us Love;
It can not wane it waxeth not.
Show me your strength; show me your heart;
be our strength and do not dart.

Believe this man it comes but once;
it comes straight from my Heart.
I love you and only you;
I shall forever only be true.
This chance I ask to be given;
I shall not betray my promise to Heaven.

Be bold and take this in your hand;
To God in Heaven I shall expand;
this truth is mine not yours.
Be my heart again and I as I am yours.
Show me the way to be that flame;
and you to be my moth again.
