Under Acheevers Poem by Bron Dayvid

Under Acheevers

We were told to be doctors and lawyers
Have high paid clients Employ us
Instead of these rebellious voices
Child Rebel Youth Destroyers
They call us, so says my sources
We were told to succeed
But we weren’t taught how to
We were told to believe
As little seeds but as we grow they teach us
To forget how to
It was all a lie
I said I wanted to be superman
They said fine then 10 years later tell me
I can’t fly
But it’s too late
I’ve already jumped
And look I’m not falling
So I must be flying
Or I must be dreaming
Or maybe I dying
And if so look at me now
Above the crowds
Above the clouds
Above the doubts
They say we failed
We say
We’ll find out
