Under Stress In Need Of A Place Of Solace Poem by Don Nguyen

Under Stress In Need Of A Place Of Solace

Can a rose blooms most magnificently under storm?
Can a bird sing melodiously in cage without happiness?
Can a sinner bless anyone if he himself is engulfed in sadness?
Can a preacher move any heart when his own heart is in doubt, shaken
By the cruel hand of life done by others but caused by his flawed burden?
So it seems, too much said, too many times, one loses sense of direction
Now he is in doubt if there is any benevolent beauty left in men
Why has he tried so hard only getting battered by seemingly unearned scorn?
What else could it be if his motive is always noble; his tactics could be childish, but childish could get to even aging stony hearts
which were used to stern looks, critical analysis, metaphoric philosophizing everything
Take step back, spend time in solace to get acquainted with a renewed spirit, clarify his cause
When everything seem untrue, unclear, of no more purpose
Lord, what am I doing here?
Why do I still go on writing while my heart and mind are no longer agree or adhere
To initial noble ideals and purpose which is to save souls?
No longer has my life a focus fulfilling
what has happen to the disciple of Christ?
Why are there so many hurdles to cross without laying down on his own cross?
I don't know the answer; do you? Since I am lost, and I don't want to wake up, just remain in slumber
Sleep in for one day of summer past
For nothing seems clear, apparent, always under disguise, also seems like illusion
No real face, no real names, no goodness, just cruel games
Love replaced with sex, sentiments replaced with harsh comments, kindness considered disadvantages
I don't know any more, will I go on singing, writing; would you?
