Under The Stars Poem by Jayson Howard

Under The Stars

Give me the best feeling.
Smile at me.
Accept my paper clip ring.
Say “Hi” to lift up my spirits.
Don’t worry,
you can do it dearest.
Hug me whether I’m high or low,
take me,
where ever you want to go.

We could walk around.
We could see the town.
We could lie in the high school field under the stars,
keeping each other occupied for hours.

Please tell me about your day,
keep interest in me,
even if I don’t ask you anyway.
Want me, to buy some flowers for you,
I’ll make them,
because it’s something I’d do,
I’d do for you.

I’d drive a scalpel into my chest,
give you my heart,
even if you were to disregard all the rest.
For only you,
I would give it.
Let’s lay under the stars.
To only you,
I’d give it.
