Underneath Poem by Forever Underestimated

Underneath

Underneath billowing hair,
The eyes of a thousand years
Will stare
And gaze;
Hidden,
Shining light apon the faces,
Seeing more
Than should be seen,
But silent.
Why would they speak?
The beauty of the soul
Underneath.
Eyes so bright,
Illuminated with light,
But hidden by shadows
Of the 'wiser.'
How could they dare?
But even under shadows,
The eyes are not blind.
They see past the surface
Of you and I.
Past the surfece,
Farther than the truth,
Underneath the soul,
In a place of youth
Forever.
