Underneath Poem by Purity Chapel

Underneath

Rating: 5.0

Swaying beneath the rocks
A hollow grove-
A darkness that mocks.
Those suffering souls strove
To a bitter gnawing shock.

Down below, down below
To a whimpering wind throw
Thyself into its muddy docks.

Fallen down a faulty bliss
Through the willows stilled
In somber reflection, still amidst
Reality and its core chilled-
No longer a speck of trust

Down below, down below
To a wavering scene throw
Thyself into its shifting basis.

Veiled under a flawless plane
The unchaste rest
Creatures most inhumane
Pervert timid lilies amongst pests
In seething seas of collected grime-

Down below, down below
To a flaming hearth throw
Thyself into its fiery mane.

Destitute seas howl
Birds in derision chirp
Sunshine no longer shimmers now
Solitude neglected comfort.
Purity lacks influence in the foul-

Down below, down below
To the fraught climate throw
Thyself against its wicked brow.
