Understand Poem by Kayla Jacobs

its not a problem that my eyes burn
from all the tears that i have cried
or that my heart aches
for the love i have lost
its all the same
the pain i feel
don't worry that i cry myself to sleep each night
not that anybody would notice that i'm sad too
pain doesn't just vanish
its here to stay
scars on my arms help provide release
though sometimes they hurt more then they should
the deeper i go the less pain i feel
i know you don't understand
nobody else will
problem is…
i couldn't care less
you ignore my pain i ignore yours
that's the way it goes
pretend everything is okay even when it's falling apart
i just want someone to finally understand the pain in my heart
why can't anybody understand
