This is the feeling, a rush, sudden stomach flip
the world shifts, stars falling overhead
earth shattered underfoot, each breath closer to you.
It travels light speed through freed veins,
senses enlightened, perspective challenged
with the way you suddenly see yourself cherished.
Gut wrenching passion, inconsiderate-consuming,
blinding like the winter sun, in the moment
your love is realised with theirs.
