Cut me open and steal my heart.
I'll find you and get it back, though we be miles apart.
Break me in pieces.
My fragments would be your masterpieces.
Poison my lungs with your toxic love.
I'll disguise myself as your one true love.
Feed my belly with your truthful lies.
I'll kiss you on the forehead and send you those butterflies.
Give me thorns, I'll give you roses.
Then I'll exchange your beauty for ashes.
We all get knocked down at some point in our lives.
Our emotions get the very best of us as we nurse vain thoughts in our hearts like midwives.
We stumble back on all the unpleasant memories in our archives.
This is when self-doubt, depression and anxiety arrives.
They enslave our minds and control our behavior.
Some of us stay calm, the others loose their composure.
Pain comes in different tastes and everyday there's a new flavour.
One minute you saw light, the next? Your vision turned blur.
Poison unseen.
Toxic like nicotine.
I need a vaccine.
Laughter they say is the best medicine.
I've been strong for too long.
My life is like a sad song.
