Undone Poem by Lee Gelis

Undone

Red rose! Red rose!
The world then arose,
The lights that glisten and fade.
A face in a row,
A sight to bestow,
An adventure yet to be made.

Red eyes! Red eyes!
A devil in disguise,
The whiskey you'll drink later on.
No matter the virtue,
The ending will hurt you,
And all that you love will be gone.

Red heart! Red heart!
My life in still art,
The absence of blood all alone.
What fortune beholds,
The soul breaks its molds,
Strings of the fates newly sewn.

Red hand! Red hand!
Our bodies made of sand,
No lasting score evermore.
Such headfirst emotion,
For such a small potion,
A fainted evening of score.

White light! White light!
My guide in the night,
From which no evil has come.
But yet no good,
As man said it should,
And so I stand here undone.
