Unemployed Poem by Aparna Chatterjee

Unemployed

My worth
Will go up
If I bring in
Money…
To the house
Or else,
Every person
In the house
Will hold a
Grouse…
So with the
Speed of a
Scurrying
Mouse…
Through
The
Newspapers
I desperately
Browse…
As I don't
Want to be
Called -
A Jobless Spouse
