Unfeeling Poem by Aman Mulji

Unfeeling

My lungs have been vacant for days,
The air stays dead clear away,
The heart pains for you in a maze,
Coldness...the savour of stone tears stays,
Where to turn? Where to go?
The path to your treasured mind,
Pandora’s might has sank very low,
As my senses were distorted behind,
Time drags a misery along,
Stars are dimmed; ways are dull,
A cursed story- a melancholy song,
The final test: an unknown soul,
What more can must be done?
But I am weak, a broken small,
Scheming through memoirs is this one?
The art of unfeeling –a pitch black fall,
Then the gaze falls upon you,
I seek no other from the very start…
All the written pain erased,
Proposals of from the underworld be apart,
Time is icebound glaring at us meet,
The silence is disturbed by the solemn heartbeat,
But not ours...No ours beat warm and kind,
The tape is played, a dream is rewind…
