rickety boards beneath her feet
arching, cracking snapping slow
ly as she grasps for walls
which do not exist but soley for
those who are lucky enough to have
bypassed faulty wiring, nerves
the nerve!

of them to leave behind
their fellow humans; all devine
while prancing off to their husbands, wives
while the fallen stompled barely gaze
up and wonder how they somehow got
left behind by human
