Unfortunate Maybe Poem by Matt Mercer

Unfortunate Maybe

They worried for me
When the times were right
Inside this new realm
They sabotage the light

Time isn't worth it
Once they take their sides
The future evaporates
As their presence hides

Reasons are unbalanced
Up here in wonderland
The fight begins
But nowhere's safe to stand

Flooding in by meaning
Empty through the seasons
Hand me just one second
Goodbye to their treasons

The second part begins
Yet tragedy is not lost
Begging to stay
But at what cost?

The surface is inattentive
Encircling the evolved mind
Dying is now automatic
Until the truth we find
