Unicorn Poem by Mary Champion

Unicorn

There is one single focus for its love,
it falters not, nor ever fails.
One fitting heart alone will be enough-
one perfect love throughout prevails.
For only spirits purified and cleansed,
of ignorance and doubt and fear,
will ever, without effort, so transcend,
the lustrous lure of lust's veneer.
When Earth has taught its lessons and we're free
to jettison what we've outgrown,
we'll ride the Unicorn to ecstasy
and know ourselves as we are known
