Lisbeth Spider

Unique - Poem by Lisbeth Spider

She knows it's the x or y factor
He agrees it's been the same matter
New is an old story I once told
Surprise is the party we all hold

Change is the drug we all need
Satisfaction is the hunger we all feed
Foraging in hungry hallucination
Finding the fodder; a fools destination

Seeking change is now the norm
But norm is to hold the same old form
Twisted minds leads us to new fate
From norm to change, opening a new gate

Trap is set for the intelligent mind
'Undo change' is an option you can't find
The agents of change are out to please
Fearing change is the new disease

Stop pushing change as the new norm
Tired minds seek a more calmer form
Wishing to end this cycle we crave
A new beginning that starts with the grave

Let's dig deep to find a new fire
Burning through natures true desire
A scheme so intricate you cannot mesh
Unique are human minds made of flesh.
