University Option Poem by Melissa Coventry

University Option

Up until that moment,
Did I feel more alive!
Absorbed by mind and soul,
Direction to life! Finally mine:
I held my breath, I breathed a sigh,
I hugged my chest, and screamed a cry!
Then slumped in my chair,
As if worn from a nights passion,
I was totally, utterly, immersed,
In my dream UNI option…

Now being my last year, it’s all finishing!
And the mindless junk they fill in my head,
I will live it out: tough as tar,
As long I get that TER score,
As long I a get that course (with Honours)
I so badly want LIKE NOTHING BEFORE! ! ! !

Oh! ! OHH! ! ! Does this mean you have decided? It's an exciting time isn't it, the possibilities are endless. And I KNOW you'll get the score you need :) And then you'll get here and realise what a slog it is... I have inside info that the Adelaide Uni seminar for NYSF will be awesome... something about a genetics conference. Expect me to tag along if I'm allowed to (and even if I'm not: P) .
